Minimarket SS2010 Lookbook

December 30, 2009 · 1 Comment

I love nice colorful pictures. The Lookbook pictures for SS 2010 of “Minimarket” hit me. They are really the opposite of their clothings. The collections are always really straight and clean cuts. Everything is in one line. That fits perfectly with those wild curvy and blury photos! The the whole collections on the “Minimarket Website“.

Online Shopping XXXVII

December 30, 2009 · 2 Comments

Now it’s time for the last “wishlist” this year! Maybe you know “Mytheresa” from Munich. I’m so sure that I would never go into a shop like this, because I think, I would feel uncomfortable. That’s a good point to visit the webstore. So I won’t miss this huge selection of so nice clothings. My favorite items are this jumpsuite and the shiny pants. Philipp would freak out if I ever would come home with something like this. ;) I also fell in love with the new collection of Christopher Kane. Maybe next year, now it’s time for wishes …..

Ich hab Ferris Mc’s Stlye geklaut

December 29, 2009 · 5 Comments

Some of you know “Ferris MC“. For a long time he was my favorite german MC and there was this picture of him with the pullover pulled back over his shoulders like a rapper from the southside. I couldn’t find it no more but he also “stole” this style from “N.W.A;) The 90′s are the new 80′s, I read this today in the “German Glamour:)

Topshop’s sale started this days but I didn’t find anything there. Only this too expensive fake-fur coat. Oh I love it. It reminds me about the “Where the wild things are-Collection” of “Opening Ceremony“. I’m really thinking about ordering it, because I ordered this Louise Goldin Dress at Topshop and it is totally too small and I have to send it back. I would be nice to have a winter alternative coat.

Hamburg Video Diary

December 26, 2009 · 6 Comments

Here comes the first part of our video diary from our Hamburg trip. It feels good to be home! Nothing has changed on the Kiez. And by the way: If you wonder about the Mickey Mouse voice at some places in the video, it is Sevda not being able to be quiet! ;-)

Don’t call it a comeback

December 25, 2009 · 1 Comment

It feels like we have never been away. Yesterday we had a tuff program! After a flight from Stockholm to Hamburg at noon, a great christmas dinner at “Öz Antep” we first went to Mirko Machine‘s aka Santa’s “Flavour of the Month” at Grüner Jäger. Later we dropped in at Buzz-T‘s and Mixwell‘s Jeudi-Party at Baalsaal. Thanks for great sounds, a lot of headbangin’ and plenty of drinks! A bit hungover we went to the movies today and watched “Avatar” in 3D. Awesome! Go and see the movie if you can! Another tip is “Where the wild things are” that we watched a few days ago. Two really great movies that definitely are worth watching in the cinema. Now some sofa-time and a nice glass of red wine. ;-)

December 24, 2009 · 8 Comments

A few days off! Time to go to Hamburg and party like hell! I can’t wait to be there and eat some “Linsensuppe” ;) at my favorite turkish place at St. Pauli. Have a few nice days and do what we also would do!

Pavon by Luz & Victoria

December 22, 2009 · 1 Comment

It’s been a while since I introduced the last label. Today it’s time for “Pavon NYC“. If I could, I would wear one of those shiny dresses on sylvester. They are so perfect for that kind of night. I would shine like 1000 percent. I love that kind of NYC-style.

Our answers

December 21, 2009 · 2 Comments

Last week we opened a “question round” and here are our answers ;)
AnnaLi I’m just wondering what you do for a living. I mean, what’s your job?
Sevda I’m an art director for a swedish fashion company. I’m working on the ideas for a compagne, the shooting and all the way to the final layout.
Philipp I study Interactive Communication and Strategies at Berghs here in Stockholm.
Jennifer Where are the best place for shopping, going out or eat something in Stockholm?
Sevda The best would be to pick up a “People Magazine“. It’s a free magazine and you will find it everywhere. They also did a book full of good tipps. Or just go to Södermalm. It’s like “Schanze” in Hamburg ;)
louiseclara What kind of status got your blog for you? Does it belong to your work or is it really free?
Sevda and Philipp No it’s totaly free! We are just writing and posting things that we really like. That’s also the reason that you don’t find any banner or anything else in that direction on our blog. We both earn money from our jobs or savings in Philipp’s case. ;)
theresa What kind of camera are you using and what kind of program are you using to prepare them?
Philipp We are using a Canon 1000D, Metz-Flash and we have a old trashy Panasonic/Lumiux for snapshots and video. It’s a DMC-FX10.
Sevda Yeah Photoshop. But please don’t ask for the whole way ;) It’s allways different ;) If you want to try something, just google for “photoshop tutorials”. I’m sure that you find some good ones.
AnnaWhat are your plans for the future? Are you staying in sweden for a longer time, kids, house or family?
Sevda Oh hard to say! ;) We are no long term planners ;) House would be nice and it’s really cheap in sweden, but we don’t know yet.
Anja Would you do it again? Moving to Sweden?
Sevda Whoa, that’s a hard one. Hmm, I don’t know. Germany is a nice country and you recognize it really quickly when you are in a different country. Sweden is really much different then I thought. It’s not like all germans think ;) Sometimes it feels a bit like Russia (Sorry Sweden ;) ) It would be so nice to have a big selection of products. ;) You feel really often that Sweden only has about 9 million people. And then I miss international news, the real journalism! But jobwise it is so much better in sweden and I met a few really nice people. But we are here now, so we shouldn’t think about if we’d do it again ;)
sylvie Why did you move to Sweden and what do you miss? And: How did you get a payable appartment?
Philipp I was raised in Sweden and the final-call came when I got a scholarship for the school I am attending now. The other thing is that Sevda always wanted to live abroad.
Sevda and Philipp And oooohhhhh, we don’t have a payable appartment ;) That’s not possible in Stockholm. You have to buy one. We put a picture and our details onto “Blocket” and sent everyone who had an appartement our link. Finally we got a few we could choose from, but the prices are nothing compared to Hamburg or Cologne.
We miss our friends, long nights on St. Pauli, Astra beer, different cultures, rote Schleife, Lohnfortzahlung im Krankheitsfall, international news, Currywurst, Linsensuppe, that it doesn’t matter how you look like, to be in the middle of Europe, european thinking, the Euro etc.
Nikita I miss the Fleischer, Planten & Bloomen, the Elbe and my best friend Leonie!

And by the way: “Ab heute werden die Tage wieder länger, yeah!”

Cold as Ice

December 19, 2009 · 9 Comments

Yesterday I had to get some fresh air because of a slight hangover from the night before. So I went just outside the house. Maybe you recognize some places from our photos when going for a walk with Nikita. The light was beautiful and the time was just right. Here are some impressions as yet another video. I hope you like it! Tomorrow we will move to another flat, so enjoy the last views from this area for now.

Disposable Arts

December 18, 2009 · 2 Comments

Yesterday we were at our first rap concert here in Stockholm at Ljunggren! With a line-up consisting of Masta Ace, Edo G and last but not least Akrobatik, it was close to the best start we could have. Thank you guys for a great show and a lot of songs bringing that good spirit to Stockholm. Here are some impressions from the evening. My head still hurts, there is something strange with that swedish beer…

Glacéau Vitaminwater Launch Party

December 17, 2009 · 1 Comment

Yesterday, Philipp and I were at the “Glacéau Vitaminwater Launch Party” with “The Misshapes“. It was not allowed to take photos inside the location. I think it was because some “real” swedish celebrities were at the party ;) But since we don’t know them ;) we can’t tell you who was there ;) But all the other bloggers where there. Some outlaws took some pictures so if you wanna see what was up there, have a look at “Rodeo“, “People” and “StockholmStreetStyle“. We just took some boring photos with the Photoautomat at the Party ;)

Ann-Sofie Back for Cheap Monday

December 17, 2009 · 2 Comments

There it is, the new collection of “Cheap Monday” with “Ann-Sofie Back” as Creative Director for “Weekday“. Some of you, I’m sure, have seen the fashion-show pictures of it. Now it comes to the stores tomorrow, the 18th december 2009. I like the duct-tape dress and the cut-out style even though it’s winter and really cold outside. like -7 degress ;) But who cares ;)

T-shirt weather

Since Caliroots got a whole new delivery of tees, I decided it’s t-shirt weather even though it’s snowing as hell outside! ;-) These are my favorites: The Rockwell “Holding On”, Stones Throw “All Caps” and the New Work “Aaron Young” tee.

Prost!

Sonntag mit Herrchen

December 14, 2009 · 8 Comments

I think that was the last sunday without snow for a long time. It started to snow and it’s seems like it’s gonna stay for a really long time. The sun rises at 8:40 and goes down at 14:25. Sometimes it hits you really hard, but I guess not as hard as the people who jumped down the bridge this weekend. Two people jumped and committed suicide. It’s really strange when you cross the pictures their families and friends put on the brigde. If that belongs to a blog? I don’t know. Take care!

Here we go, the first round is open now. Just write a comment with your question.

David & Martin for Weekday Party

Miss “not always so close with the camera” Lynn, Philipp and I had a really nice evening at the launch-party for “David & Martin” for “Weekday” yesterday. It was in the nice studio/showroom of “David & Martin“. I think I need the skull t-shirt and a “Hühnerkralle”.

Online shoping XXXVI

December 9, 2009 · 1 Comment

Time to introduce “Stylepaste” a danish online mailorder that offers brands like Acne, Flying A, Gestuz and Minimarket. Really low shipping fee or free shipping. Depending of how much you are ordering it makes it interesting for everybody around the world. I’m totally in love with the shoes. Look at the feet of the modelshoots, allways nice shoes.

Colorful light

December 8, 2009 · 8 Comments

I still had the pictures from our “Sunday walk” left. It’s not so often that we see the sun those days. Buuuuhhhhh. Sometimes I like it when the sun is NOT coming up. It looks sooo depressive in an interessing way. Everything just seems to stand still. But just sometimes and just for a minute. ;)

All my Bling-Bling

December 6, 2009 · 8 Comments

I got tagged by “Dotti’s Dot” to show 7 Bling-Bling things. The problem is, I’m not really a Bling-Bling girl. So it became more an assosoires post. Most of the things, I bought in Singapore, Langkawi or Kula Lumpur. It’s allways nice to see those things, because they bring back good memories. I love Asia and the first nacklace.
So girls, I wanna see your 7 Bling-Blings. It’s your turn Sexy in the city, Befrassy, Raben-Schwarz, And what else is there, Blue is in fashion this year, Green Laundry and invasionista.
I know you can do it better than me. ;)

December 2, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I am always looking forward to the next episode of the Stones-Throw podcast that usually comes out once every two months. This one though is very special as it is part of the “Secondhand Sureshots project” where J-Rocc made a mixtape of as many reject vinyls (the ones in the one dollar bin that nobody wants…) as he could mange. Check the itunes-link here and enjoy!

Touch me

December 1, 2009 · 8 Comments

Everyone at work touched me today ;) Not because they like me so much, it’s more about my dress and the nice hopefully not real leather shoulder patches. I also wear my first red pair of shoes ever! I love “Underground Shoes“. Back in the days in Hamburg I was too shy to wear something like this, but here in Stockholm it’s no problem. I’m always wearing two pair of tights when it’s cold. And it was early this morning. I took the wrong tight under so you can see the dotts from the first one….

New York State of Mind

December 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment

No, this is not about the far too cool Jay-Z song “Empire State of Mind” but about one of my favorite brands right now, Rockers-NYC. They come with some really cool new tees and hoodies. If you live in Germany, I feel sorry for you. I don’t know a shop where the brand is availiable. So if you want some of their stuff visit Monkeybizz, where you’ll find some other nice brands as well.

Today’s Never Ever

December 1, 2009 · 1 Comment

Where a “Today’s Favorite” exists there also has to be an an opposite, something like a “Never Ever Thing”. Here we go and it starts with a really bad example. We all know “Jeffery Campbell” and we love his shoes. But as I saw this shoes, I wasn’t so sure anymore…… A really “Never Ever in my Closet thing” seen at “Karmaloop“. What is this supposed to be, a western girls city style?
