We saw some beautiful and well produced dresses around the concept “Organisms” at the “AMD Hamburg Fashion Show“. BUT the organisation was terrible. No music, no light, ………….. waiting,………… Ok, next time, just do it better. Your students deserve it. We really liked the stuff that we saw!

At the “A+ Fashionshow” all the fashion design students of HAW Hamburg showed their stuff around different themes in a really nice location in Hamburg. We liked some of the stuff and it was nice to see that New Face Nina was in the show. We spent some good time with Katha, Anna and gueststar Philipp.

One of my favorites labels is “Stolen Girlfriens Club” from New Zealand. Normally I don’t post pictures from Fashion Shows where I haven’t been on my own, but rules are there to break. 
As I got an email with those pictures this morning I totally freaked out I saw some of the items yesterday at “Les Mads” and was in love in a second. “Stolen Girlfriens Club” for me stands for edgy, cool, street kind of grunge kind of super something! YEAH, LOVE LOVE LOVE. The last collections here and here.

As I wrote in the beginng, Philipp and I went to just to a few shows this week because we both had to work a lot. We just picked the ones we really wanted to see. “Minimarket” was our favorite and as expected really colorful and bright! Nobody uses clean cuts, patterns and bright colors in such a good way. Needless to say the shoes are a class of it’s own! Let’s buy some, like my colleague last week. The right shoes make your life so much better! Sorry for the unsharp pictures, the flashlight was making strange things the whole week. I guess it’s time for a new one. Next to us was a blogger from Norway, Vanillascented. Sympatisch.

The atmosphere at the “Odeur” show yesterday was sooo my type. Slow minimalistic music, minimalistic moves, no extras, just the “Odeur” stuff. Totally wearable and so Stockholm like. I had my colleagues in mind the whole time cause they would totally fit in that stuff. Please buyers, go for it. There is just one little point: Next time better shoes please. I don’t wanna see “Vagabondd” on a Fashion show like this.

“Beckmans” is a Stockholm based Design-High-School that had a show yesterday. Nine students were showing their stuff. I like the kind of backbone leather jacket and the three other jackets of Maria Jenjé Lundqvist. The woman next to me said something like: “I just saw the new “Christian Lacroix” in Alexander Krantz.” Hm, I don’t know. Make up your own mind on the “Backmans XV – Mircrosite“.

I don’t know what the most exciting moment at the “Cheap Monday Show” was. The school-travel like busride to the middle of nowhere with a bunch of fashion-addicts, standing with 400 other people in front of the location, to see all the bloggers from all over the world like “Anywho“, the 3 girls from denmark which where sitting behind us, “Susie Bubble” or all the swedish ones on the other side. Tomorrow the “Stockholm Fashion Week by Berns” starts and we are going to see a few shows. Hopefully we have enough time to see a lot, because we both have to work next week. We’ll see as much as possible! I can’t wait to see the outfits of all the visitors, it’s still -14 up to -22 everyday and also snowing. But I’m sure that swedish people have a plan b for weather like this. So may be we will see you at shows like Minimarket, Cheap Monday, Odeur, Beckmans XV,…

“Weekday” and “Minimarket” launched their “Mini Weekday Market” collection yesterday and had a party at the “Weekday Store” at Götgatan, Södermalm. The collection is full of really nice pieces, full of sequin elements. I fell in love with a black fake-fur jacket. The Minimodels did a great job. They really knew how to pose in front of the camera

Yesterday we were at a showroom evening at “Galleri Keerup” a really nice location for stuff like that. “April 77“, “Gram“, “Velour“, “Uniforms for the Dedicated“, “Happy People“, “Item” and lovely Emma Harling of “Permanent Vacation” showed their stuff for Spring / Summer 2009. Have a look at “Permanent Vacation“. But something else happend. I need a new hat, maybe the signal orange one of “Happy People” with the anker on it.

Yesterday we were at the vernissage of the IAM1-Journey by Nike.
The exhibition features original shoes and an illustrated timeline of the Air Max’s rise to iconic status charting its PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE 1987-2009. Fans and collectors from Sweden will display their favourite Air Max 1′s and tell their personal stories throughout the exhibition.

We were at the “Boutique Fräsh” at Berns. Our highlights were “Insight“, “Obey” and of course “Nikita“. It’s was such a nice pleasure to met the founder of Nikita “Heida Birgisdottir” from Iceland. Nice to see that a label founded by a woman just for woman is so successful. Heida rock on! And yeah, of course don’t forget to buy that shirt from “Obey” with the dog on. Obey is supporting “www.Adoptapet.com” with that shirt. More about that project under “muttslikeme.adoptapet.com“.

It’s “Stockholm Fashion Week” and “Boutique Fräsh Show“. So we have a really tight time schedule because there is so much to see. Like yesterday the so nice fashion show of “Saga Lova“, the Stockholm based Designer. We liked the color-combinations and the sailor look, especially the guy who looked like from our old home St. Pauli . Have a look for more about “Saga Lova on her website. We also were at the “Jojo & Malou” exibition opening party at Urban Outfitters. So if you are in Stockholm don’t miss it.
