Last thursday we went to the Secret Wars Euro League between Hamburg and Cardiff at Waagenbau in Hamburg. Two teams, two walls and a bunch of markers. 2 jury-members with one vote each and one vote by the audience. Most votes win. Even though it was really hot outside, a lot of people came to see the battle and we had a really fun evening. I think the video speaks for itself.

As we were searching for the Armgartstrasse location for the exhibition last week, we ended up in the wrong one at first. A nice one though. We will use it for the next shooting.
Every year in summer Cleptomanicx, a skate brand from Hamburg is inviting to the Labskaus Citytour. At different locations all over the city of Hamburg small streetcontests are held. I was at the first Cleptomanicx Labskaus Citytour and it must be 9 or 10 years ago. 
Now I’m getting older and it is nice to see how many really young people are joining the event. Have a look at more pictures on the Cleptomanicx Blog.

We saw some beautiful and well produced dresses around the concept “Organisms” at the “AMD Hamburg Fashion Show“. BUT the organisation was terrible. No music, no light, ………….. waiting,………… Ok, next time, just do it better. Your students deserve it. We really liked the stuff that we saw!

Yes, it’s true. With one smiling and one crying eye we have to annouce that we are moving back to Hamburg today! We had a really good time here in Stockholm. It was such a pleasure to work for such a global player like H&M and a honor to visit an amazing school like Berghs. Dear friends, colleagues and partners, we’d like to thank all of you for making this a great time here. It was great to meet you guys and we hope to see some of your faces again! It was not an easy decision but our feet still remember how cold it was during winter. We also wanna be there for our friends in hours were we are needed. If someone asked me, what the most important german street- and skateboard-label is at the moment, I would definitely say “Cleptomanicx” from Hamburg. Of course we dropped in at their showroom to have a look at their upcoming stuff during our stay in Hamburg. No need to say that we, as people from Hamburg, love their stuff. Especially the Hamburg illustration, that will come as a ladies and guy version. Funny how a brand can connect people. During our stay in California we met a girl wearing a seagull-tee as we passed by with our toast- and lemon-towel, that all three are synonymous with the brand. It was totally natural to exchange a “Moin, Moin!”. “Cleptomanicx” made the world a bit more connected and local. Not just in the matter of geography, but everything else that “Cleptomanicx” stands for.

“H&M” is launching the “Fashion against Aids Collection” on the May, 20th. For all the Hamburg people this is the chance to get something from this nice collection as this is a pre-shopping event. Ok we are really busy those days. After we missed our flight from Stockholm to Hamburg, we were stuck in the middle of nowhere in Sweden, a nice little place called Nyköping. The first stop in Hamburg was the “Leica Store“. They took some funny photos of us in the store, but more about that later. We were also invited to a “Joshua Radin Showcase“. He was playing an accustic set from his upcoming album. I really like the song for this first single but I can’t remember the name of it. I also like the humor of “Joshua Radin Showcase“. He was making jokes about what a wimp he is. Always good with people that can laugh about themselves. Nice to be in back in Hamburg and meeting a lot of friends. You just need to pass the Schanze and there it is: Streetlife! We met “Katha of iloveponysmag” on the road and joined her for a couple of drinks. We like!

A while ago, Katharina of “I♥PONYS” asked me, if I could help her with something. And of course, since I had some time I support another blogger. I’m so happy that the German blogger-scene is supporting eachother. Let me tell you, that is not that usal everywhere. The point is, if we support eachother in a way we are becoming such a bigger lobby and becoming more serious than before. I like the fact that the german bloggers link other bloggers and meet as often as possible. Like I met Katharina when she was in Stockholm. So yesterday I got a big letter from her with this two bags and a postcard from Hamburg. Thank you!!! One bag is from the “Blonde Magazine” where she is working since a while. Hopefully you will show your face next time at the Stockholm Fashion Week. The chair next to us at the “Minimarket Show” was reserved for “Blonde Mag” This time someone else that we also know sat on your seat. It was a pleasure to help you. If I have some time, it is no problem. Please don’t be mad at me, if I say no, because then it is for a reason. And belive me, I’m not really good in saying no. I have a fulltime job, a blog, trying to learn swedish… What I really want to say is, help eachother and you support yourself in any way!
Lovely Dotti from Dottis Dots asked as to put on our pyjamas. The problem is, we don’t really have’em, since we don’t use them. But I got the funny sleeping shirt as a present. I think, but I’m not sure, that is a typical sweden gift. You will find it in Gamla Stan there all the souvenier shops are. So we picked those pictures that we did a while ago in our so beloved appartment in Hamburg. We miss it!

It feels like we have never been away. Yesterday we had a tuff program! After a flight from Stockholm to Hamburg at noon, a great christmas dinner at “Öz Antep” we first went to Mirko Machine‘s aka Santa’s “Flavour of the Month” at Grüner Jäger. Later we dropped in at Buzz-T‘s and Mixwell‘s Jeudi-Party at Baalsaal. Thanks for great sounds, a lot of headbangin’ and plenty of drinks! A bit hungover we went to the movies today and watched “Avatar” in 3D. Awesome! Go and see the movie if you can! Another tip is “Where the wild things are” that we watched a few days ago. Two really great movies that definitely are worth watching in the cinema. Now some sofa-time and a nice glass of red wine.

… but you haven’t been been so nice to me until now, Hamburg! Since we are living in Stockholm, I notice more and more what a cool place Germany is. It was a slow process but people from all over the world like you more and more. In Stockholm you see people with “PLUS-Jutebeutel”, “Atomkraft Nein Danke-Button” and “Tokio Hotel-Shirt”. “Tokio Hotel“, like them or not, but they represent a whole generation from all over the world. Almost like “The Who” or “The Beatles“. Hey, that’s not so bad for a band from the middle of nowhere in eastern Germany! Germany is cool and got it’s own style. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or not, it’s more about creativity and who you are. It’s nice to walk through the streets and see so many different things living in symbiosis. I like it and I miss it! People from Germany, don’t be so absolute and do not say: Deutschland is ja voll scheisse (Germany is totaly weak), because that is not true! Germany, you have style, more than you think! And my personal tribute to the person who did the “Welt Kompakt” campaign. Love it!
Aber über die Sache mit Guido Westerwelle müssen wir aber noch mal sprechen…

Hip-Hop is so uncool, especially the German one. Electronica forever! Fuck it! You always got to filter the good from the bad! So why be lazy these days? There is still a lot of good stuff out there. Like the king of rap Kool Savas I’m still “auf dem Rapfilm hängengeblieben”. Check the video here. We were at the Übel & Gefährlich. The Astra was great, concert dope and we met a lot of old nice friends as well as some other funky dudes. Thanks for a great evening Hamburg!
